Tyumen State University is one of the largest scientific and educational Siberian complexes. It includes 12 academic institutes, scientific research institutes, the academic lyceum, the information and library centre with the total library fund of 2 100 000 books, 7 scientific and educational training grounds in the outskirts of Tyumen, on the seaside of the Black Sea, at the Lake Baikal,15 sports halls and gyms. The University campus disposes 15 educational and laboratorial buildings and 4 student hostels. The University network consisting of 15 branches and 8 representative offices comprise the area from the Arctic Circle to the Black Sea shore.
Nowadays Tyumen State University has 64 Agreements of cooperation with foreign universities and different organizations from the USA, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, China, Sweden, Serbia, Switzerland, Italy, Latvia, Czech Republic, Norway, Turkey, Canada, Cuba and the CIS countries. Within these agreements we realize academic and educational programs, seminars, conferences, cultural projects. Different Embassies and General Consulates of the USA, France, Luxembourg, Sweden, Norway, China, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan support our strategy in international affairs.
During the last 5 years Tyumen State University has realized 21 international projects with its foreign partners; more than 200 international guests visited our university; 208 employees took part in international conferences, seminars, training courses, improving academic contacts and international mobility; over 30 students finished their studies abroad within the international students exchange programs and fellowships. Over 1 700 foreign students (all forms of education) study at Tyumen State University (according to the data from April 1, 2013).

Tyumen State University being one of the largest universities of Tyumen Region is aimed at the internationalization of the Russian higher professional education!
We offer a wide range of educational programs, the possibility to participate in double degree and students exchange programs with foreign partner universities from France, Germany, Serbia, Norway, China, Belorussia, Ukraine, Armenia, Kazakhstan and etc., complete the post-graduated and doctoral courses, take part in Summer Courses. For foreign students there are Russian Preparatory Courses in Regional Institute for International Cooperation which maximize chances to enroll to our University. Moreover, we create comfortable conditions of living for all students.
Our professors regularly take linguistic and scientific training in foreign universities; participate in different European projects, such as TEMPUS, SASCHA (Germany), Russia-USA project, Federal Targer Program held by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. Additionally, more than 30 foreign lectures and specialists from France, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, the USA, China have visited our University for teaching English, German, French, Chinese, Polish.
A great number of international students and professors, studying and teaching in Tyumen State University, boosted several international programs, for example “Tyumen Model of UN”, “Tyumen student conquers the world”, “The Young Diplomat’s Day”, the visits to the headquarters office of UN in New-York, Geneva.
The international activity of the university has been improving from the beginning of 2013, a lot of linguistic and professional training courses are held for students, professors and managers. We focus on the internationalization of our University into international educational area!
