Tyumen State University is one of the largest scientific and educational Siberian complexes. It includes 14 academic and scientific research institutes, 4 departments, academic lyceum, centre of information technologies, information and library centre with the total library fund of 1 900 000 books, 15 sports halls and gyms, 7 scientific and educational training grounds in the outskirts of Tyumen, on the seaside of the Black Sea, at the Lake Baikal. The University campus disposes 15 educational and laboratorial buildings and 5 student hostels. The network consisting of 15 university branches comprises the area from the Arctic Circle to the Black Sea shore.
