Russian State Library (RST) is a unique storage repository for original dissertations defended in Russia since 1944, covering all fields of science, with the exception of medicine and pharmaceutics. The All-Russian (before 1991 “All-Union”) dissertation fund was created in 1944 by the order of the All-Union Committee supervising the Higher School at the SNK USSR. Currently, more than a million dissertations are stored in the dissertations department of the fund (the city of Khimki). Every year Russian State Library receives around 30000 dissertations (20000 Candidate and 10000 PhD). Readers enjoy an unlimited number of reading sessions.
Digital Reading Room is a storage of Master's theses completed since 2007 by students of the Mendeleev Tobolsk State Social and Pedagogical Academy. It also contains dissertation abstracts and scientific works of the Academy lecturers, as well as rare books of the library. The Reading Room can only be accessed locally in the Library Reading Room (Faculty Building 1, Room 101).
