From Brazil to Indonesia: Foreign Students Come to UTMN

The admission campaign for foreign students recruitment for the 2017/18 academic year has come to an end.

As a result, 27 students will begin their studies at the UTMN Russian Language Preparatory Department this year.

Department graduates who master the Russian language to a sufficient level will take entrance examinations next year, hoping to join UTMN’s general educational programs.

17 students will study bachelor's, master's and postgraduate programs this year. 11 of them are holders of Russian Federation Government scholarships, 1 holds UTMN Talent ++ grant for postgraduate students and 5 will study on a contractual basis.

In total, representatives of 21 countries have enrolled at UTMN this year, including students from Vietnam, Ghana, Mongolia, Syria, Brazil, Palestine, Bangladesh, Egypt, Turkey, Guatemala, Congo, Indonesia, Iraq, Zimbabwe, Guinea, China, Germany, Yemen, Spain, Colombia, Nigeria.

According to statistics from the UTMN Department of International Relations, 577 applications from foreign applicants were received during the admission period of 2017.

The most popular were bachelor and master's programs in the field of computer science and computer technology, computer security, physics, biological sciences, economics and management.

Applications are received through the university’s social networks, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Study in Russia information portal, the portals and Russia-edu, recommendations from graduates of UTMN, and also through the interaction of the Department of International Relations with Rossotrudnichestvo abroad.

"Applicants often express personal interest and send their applications directly to the university e-mail, receiving full information support during the whole process of admission," comments the Head of the Department of International Relations Elena Yuzhakova.
