Enter a Master’s program in Russia for free

Admissions 7 November 2018
UTMN co-organizes International Olympiad “Open Doors” for foreign students who want to enter a Master’s program in Russia.

For the second year in a row the Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project is organized by the "Global Universities" Association with a support from the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education and Rossotrudichestvo.

The Olympiad gives foreigners a chance for early admission to a tuition-free Master's program at one of the leading universities in Russia.

Today more than 1000 international students from 35 countries study at UTMN full time programs and a few dozen students from Africa and Asia study Russian at the Preparatory Department. For them, the Olympiad is a great opportunity to enter one of the UTMN Master’s programs for free.

“Currently, one of the most pressing tasks for Russian universities is to improve their competitive positions on the global education market,” says UTMN Rector Valery Falkov.

That is why UTMN offers foreign students its flagship Master’s programs including Digital Culture and Media Production and Plant BIOsecurity

This year, share of international students enrolled in the Plant BIOsecurity Master’s program of the X-Bio Institute is 33%.

Participation is open to graduates with a Bachelor or a Specialist degree from any university in the world (except Russian). The Olympiad has two stages, both are conducted on-line. Application deadline is January 31st.

Note:

Last year, more than 8,5 thousand people from 160 countries took part in the Olympiad, and 94 people from 31 countries became prizewinners.

This year, 300 competition winners and prizewinners will be able to enroll in the Master's programs choosing any of 500 Russian universities, including 21 leading universities-participants of the 5-100 Project, and 10 subject areas: Biology, Computer science, Mathematics, Business & Management, Politics & International Studies, Psychology, Physics, Philology & Linguistics, Chemistry, and Economics.
