Open Doors Olympiad: Registration for the Russian Scholarship Project is now open

Registration for the International Olympiad Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project for graduate and postgraduate applicants opens on September 15, 2020.



The International Olympiad is successfully held for the fourth consecutive year with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia and Rossotrudnichestvo. The organizer of the project is the Global Universities Association.
Over the past three years, more than 80 thousand people from 200 countries took part in the Olympiad, of which more than 800 became winners and prize-winners and received the opportunity to get a Master’s or Ph.D. Degree for free at one of the best universities in Russia.

In 2020-2021, 600 scholarships are available for Master’s and Ph.D. programs, with 14 fields of study to choose from.

Participation is open to graduates with a Bachelor or a Specialist degree from any university in the world (except Russian). 

The winners of the Open Doors are granted free early admission at any Russian university, without entrance examinations and with tuition fees covered by the Russian Federation.

The first application round is held from September 15 to December 10, 2020, where applicants can register at the project’s website and provide their portfolios (for the master's and postgraduate courses). Participants who have successfully passed will be invited to the second round, which will be held from January 11 to January 30, 2021. The second round will include an online test (case-solving). Postgraduate will also have a third round in the format of an interview with a potential scientific advisor.

The language of instruction is English or Russian depending on the chosen program and the university.

The University of Tyumen offers a verity of advance master's programs in English: Digital Culture and Media Production (Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities and School of Advanced Studies), Plant Biological Safety and Mathematical Biology and Bioinformatics (Institute of Environmental and Agricultural Biology), Analytics and Consulting in international relations (Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities), Applied Linguistics (Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities). In addition, this year students can apply for a postgraduate studies program "Biological Sciences" at the University of Tyumen.
