The Number of Oxford Scholarship Holders Is Growing

International 7 September 2017

This academic year has started with good news for 48 undergraduates studying the humanities.

A committee from the Oxford Russia Fund’s Moscow headquarters analyzed all applications and named 48 winners, who will receive a 6 000 ruble scholarship during the 2017-2018 academic year.

“The number of winners is almost 10% more than last year. At the orientation and motivation meetings with the scholarship holders, we always say that the additional scholarship is an incentive to continue their research. Apart from the monthly payment, the Fund provides travel grants for participation in research conferences and seminars”, said Elena Yuzhakova, the Fund’s coordinator at UTMN.

The Institute of State and Law took the lead in the number of the scholarship applications and winners with its 20 scholarship holders. Moreover, there are 15 winners from the Institute of Philology and Journalism, 6 from the Institute of Finance and Economics, 4 from the Institute of History and Political Sciences and 3 from the Institute of Psychology and Pedagogical Sciences.
