On 16 October, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) published its latest ranking of the top universities in Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA) 2017/18

For the first time, the University of Tyumen has been included in such a prestigious international ranking.

To evaluate the performance of universities in Emerging Europe and Central Asia, QS has produced an adapted version of the criteria it uses for its world-wide ranking.

In the EECA ranking, the top universities of the region are evaluated according to 9 performance indicators, including employer reputation, academic reputation, faculty student ratio, citations per paper from Scopus, proportion of staff with PhDs.

This year, 97 Russian universities, including 20 participating in the 5-100 Project, feature in the QS EECA Ranking.
