UT ranked among Russia’s top 15 universities for Social Studies
The Expert analytical centre has published the findings of their extensive survey of universities’ research productivity and, based on its results, produced a ranking of Russian universities by subject.
The University of Tyumen improved its position and this year was ranked among the top 15 Russian universities for Social Studies.
The analytical centre evaluated 88 Russian universities according to quality of growth, the relevance and sustainability of recent research projects as well as the thematic articles published by the universities in Scopus-indexed research journals for the last four years.
Professors from the UT Institute of State and Law, the Institute of History and Political Sciences and the Institute of Physical Education were shown to be UT’s most active researchers.
“Our aim is not just entering a number of international rankings. The complex internal transformation of the University, providing for further research achievements, is what really matters”, said UT Rector Valery Falkov. “Publication activity is even more important as it builds our reputation as a university”.
For the second year in a row, University of Tyumen has also shown good results in the Life Sciences subject ranking, holding 18-21 positions.
