Society and Culture 16 September 2020

Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov has sent a congratulatory message to the University of Tyumen.

Dear students, teachers, partners, and alumni of the University of Tyumen: Congratulations on the 90th anniversary!

The University of Tyumen was the first and for a long time the only university of the vast Tyumen region. The University of Tyumen remains a pioneer and leader in the educational field to this day. These 90 years of service only mark the beginning of the journey for the university. However, we can already note the enormous contribution of the university to the socio-economic development of our country.

Throughout the years, a wonderful team of teachers, scientists, and administrators has been working at the university. A team of like-minded people – masters of high quality educational and infrastructural transformations.

The University of Tyumen State has proved itself as one of the leading universities in Russia.

Through introducing integrated education, adhering to the principle of openness, and showing high competitiveness, the university is moving towards the formation of an institution of academic excellence. I am sure that in the coming years the university will deservedly become one of the best higher education institutions in the world.

I wish for the members and staff of the University of Tyumen to always have a strong vision for future development, but to stay true to the traditions of the university. As for the students, I wish them to set ambitious goals, implement the most daring projects, and chase the opportunities that the university has to offer.

Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation,

V.N. Falkov
