Celebrating New Year in Russia


For most foreign students, 2017 is their first year in Russia. It was this year that they began to study Russian at the Preparatory Department of the Regional Institute for International Cooperation of TyumSU.

The last day of classes did not resemble the traditional educational setting, but, rather, the atmosphere of the holiday approaching.

On this day, students got acquainted with the Russian traditions of celebrating the New Year, making snowflakes, drinking tea from a samovar, playing games and, of course, congratulating each other not only in the already familiar Russian, but also in their native languages.
