Studying at the Institute of Physical Education of the University of Tyumen was fantastically enthralling thanks to the involved teachers who were attentive to opinions and points of view of every student.
Seminars were held in the form of entertaining discussions, where we jointly reached certain conclusions, and then with great pleasure we implemented them in practical exercises at our Institute’s home building, which comprises the swimming pool, the gymnastic area and the gyms.
It constantly drew me to the university for knowledge: I wanted to study anatomy, physiology and the techniques of various sports as profoundly as possible so that I could promote healthy lifestyle and physical activities to the wider public in the future.
It is worth mentioning that due to the highly-qualified teaching staff I was able to perform thorough scientfic research.
It is gratifying that the mentors of the Institute of Physical Education achieved high results in international competitions and thus have hands-on experience with the information they shared with us during our studies. Classes under the mentorship of Galina Kukleva and Natalia Proskuryakova were incredibly interesting – as former professional athletes, they could compare theoretical details and practical factors and give us the priceless nuances.
Administration of the Institute were loyal to the students who were actively developing their career in sports during their studies. They were well aware that a significant part of the students’ success was determined by the contributions of the teachers.
Right now I am working as a producer of "To the Match!" program at MatchTV where I wholeheartedly try to create the most comfortable conditions for my film crew at various competitions and events that we cover in our program.
My area of expertise is football. I am in close contact with colleagues from the Russian Football Union, the Russian Premiere League, with representatives of press services of our clubs. I constantly read the news on major championships and regularly watch matches to keep up with the latest information. But my main responsibilities are to make the work of the film crew as comfortable and simple as possible during their work at a venue. It includes many things starting from registering entry passes for our vehicle (so that a fragile reporter girl does not have to drag a heavy tripod in her noble attempt to help the cameraman) to making appointments with speakers who would come and to give a comment on the spot. There are a lot of nuances in my line of work. For example, in order for a film crew to get to the stadium it must get press credentials first. For covering a football match I’d need to get each of the crewmembers a special football bib, send a letter to the reporter with clear instructions on what materials we would need them to make for which program, and be constantly in touch with them to clarify important details and convey the wishes of the chief editor. In other words, I’m always in touch with the crew to ensure their work runs smoothly during production. It’s no easy feat, the crew can cover up to 3-4 stories per day. I also accompany Moscow reporters on business trips to football clubs, matches and interviews with athletes in other cities.
Perhaps, the most pleasant aspect of my work is that I get to invite guests to live broadcasts of "To the Match!" program. We had great football players like Andrey Arshavin, Alexander Mostovoy, Evgeny Lovchev, and amazing experienced commentators – Timur Zhuravel, Georgy Cherdantsev, Oleg Pirozhkov.
