Consulate general of Hungary visited UTMN
On 28 of November, the Consul General of Hungary in Yekaterinburg, Mr. Sandor Fabian, paid a working visit to Tyumen State University. Rector Ivan Romanchuk, First Vice-Rector Andrey Tolstikov and Vice-Rector for international communications Ekaterina Sechenova met the honored guest.
The Consul General was given a historic excursion about the cooperation UTMN with the Hungarian universities in education and research. Mr. Sandor Fabian gave high praise to the level of international cooperation in the leading university in the Tyumen oblast, expressed readiness to help with the development of humanitarian cooperation with central European country. The consul general commented that education is the highest point cooperation between the two states.
Rector of UTMN Ivan Romanchuk gave Mr. Sandor Fabian a tour of the new main building of UTMN on Respubliki Street.
It should be noted that Tyumen state university has a rich history of cultural and scientific cooperation with Hungary. Partnership was developed with the Natural History Museum of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Hungarian Institute of Plant Protection, The University of Debrecen, Pázmány Péter Catholic University and others. The students of the Tyumen state university annually participate in scholarship academic exchange program «Stipendium Hungaricum».
