Russian–Vietnamese Educational Cooperation Expands
Nguyen Quang Hai, Chair of the Association of International Students at the University of Tyumen and official representative of the University in Vietnam, held a working meeting and exchange of views with the leadership of the Faculty of Russian Language at the University of Foreign Languages – University of Danang.
The meeting was attended by Bui Hoang Ngoc Linh, Deputy Dean of the Faculty, and Luu Thi Thuy My, Deputy Head of the Department of Russian Language Theory.
The Faculty of Russian Language is one of the two founding faculties established in 1985 on the basis of the Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages in Danang, the predecessor of today’s University of Foreign Languages. With over 45 years of Russian language instruction and 35 years of active faculty development, it has become a prominent center for training highly qualified specialists in the Central region of Vietnam and across the country.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation, including the implementation of joint projects within the framework of the Russian–Vietnamese Year of Science and Education in 2026, as well as initiatives in the areas of academic activities, cultural exchange, and student programs.
This meeting marked an important step toward building a long-term and sustainable partnership between the University of Tyumen and the University of Foreign Languages – University of Danang. The collaboration is expected to open new horizons for cooperation between Russian and Vietnamese universities, contributing to the development of a multilingual and multicultural educational environment.
