University of Tyumen Ranked Among the Top 50 Universities in Russia

The RAEX Agency (RAEX-Analytics) has published the fourteenth annual edition of the RAEX-100 Ranking of Russia’s Best Universities.
Compared to last year, the University of Tyumen has risen by two positions and now holds 49th place.
The top 100 universities include institutions from 30 regions across Russia. The top three positions are traditionally occupied by Lomonosov Moscow State University, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
The ranking methodology combines statistical indicators with the results of surveys of more than 150,000 respondents — including representatives of academia and the scientific community, students, alumni, and employers.
Universities are assessed according to the quality of education, graduate employability, and the level of research activity.
Earlier this year, RAEX also published its subject-specific rankings. The University of Tyumen was included in the top 20 Russian universities across eleven fields, among them Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Ecology, Biotechnology and Bioengineering, History and Archaeology, Pedagogical Education, Law, Hospitality Management, Sociology, and Physics.

Background
The RAEX-100 Ranking of Russia’s Best Universities has been published annually since 2012. In assessing the quality of education (weight: 50%), the methodology considers four groups of indicators: teaching quality, international integration, resource provision, and applicant demand. Graduate employability (weight: 30%) is evaluated through indicators of cooperation with employers and career outcomes. Research activity (weight: 20%) is measured by indicators of research potential, scientific achievements, and research infrastructure. In total, the ranking incorporates 44 indicators.
