Season of Artificial Intelligence: New Victories of Tyumen University Students
Once again, the student team of the School of Computer Science at Tyumen University has shown itself at the regional hackathon "Digital Breakthrough. Season: Artificial Intelligence," which took place in Chelyabinsk at the venue of South Ural State University (SUSU).
In the team MOAD.dev, consisting of fourth-year bachelor students of "Mathematical Support and Administration of Information Systems" program - Danil Krivorogov, Timur Nizamov, Albert Fazlyaev, Arseniy Khodyrev, Dmitry Shusharin - successfully completed the case
"Bringing the nomenclature of market participants to the official Classifier of Construction Resources" by Amethyst Capital company. The guys took second place and received 200,000 rubles. The developed web service with an API allows to automatically select the official name and code of a construction resource based on an arbitrary name when preparing project estimation documentation.
"I think the most important thing at the hackathon is to correctly understand the needs of the case holder, prioritize and distribute tasks. And of course, work as a team," believes Arseniy Khodyrev, a member of the MOAD.dev team.
In the final, two more teams from the School of Computer Science at Tyumen University competed. They presented solutions for the cases of RZD "Analyzer of Work Conversations" and "Classification of Even-toed Ungulates" from the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia.
Second-year student of the Mathematical Support and Administration of Information Systems program, Andrey Redikultsev, also won the video competition within the hackathon and received a laptop.
In total, 81 solutions for five cases were presented during the defense of the district hackathon "Digital Breakthrough. Season: Artificial Intelligence" in the Ural Federal District. There were 139 registered teams, with nearly 800 participants from all over Russia.
The competition is organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, with the contest being operated by the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization (ANO)«Russia – Land of Opportunities."
