University of Tyumen Student Wins Bronze at World Sport Aerobics Championships
Marina Ogryzko has won a bronze medal at the World Sport Aerobics Championships in Pamplona, competing in the Gymnastic Platform discipline. The Russian national team topped the overall medal standings.
For the 18-year-old athlete, the competition marked her World Championships debut at senior level. Earlier in 2026, Ogryzko won the Russian national title and achieved the qualification standard for the title of Master of Sports.
Ogryzko is a first-year student at the Institute of Physical Culture at the University of Tyumen. She began training in aerobics at the Veronika Children’s and Youth Centre under Tatyana Semukhina, Senior Coach and Instructor at the Centre for Health and Fitness of the Institute of Physical Culture at the University of Tyumen. She later continued her training at GYMmaster, a school founded and run by Danil and Evgenia Chayun.
This year, Evgenia Chayun, a Tyumen native and World and European champion, joined the Russian national team for the first time. She also became part of the national team’s coaching staff, contributing to the athletes’ preparation for the championships.
