UTMN postgraduate students completed a research internship at the Eurasian National University

They shared their research results at the IV International Research and Practical Conference "Modern Problems of the International Protection of Human Rights".
Oleg Ulyanov and Maria Sokolkova, postgraduate students of the UTMN Institute of State and Law, completed a research internship at the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU) (Astana, Kazakhstan).

As part of the internship, they participated in the V International Research-Practical Conference on International Law, which was attended by the leading foreign scholars and practitioners in this spehere.

“The UTMN Department of the Theory of State and Law and International Law actively cooperates with the Faculty of Law of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. In November, teachers and professors from Kazakhstan сame to Tyumen to attend the III Siberian Legal Forum. One week later, we went to Astana for our internship. For us it was beneficial not only in terms of conducting research but also exchanging experience and knowledge,” said Maria Sokolkova.

The postgraduate students shared their research results at the IV International Research and Practical Conference "Modern Problems of the International Protection of Human Rights." Oleg Ulyanov took the second place, and Maria Sokolkova took the third one.

“The internship helped me in writing my PhD thesis. It was particularly important for me to learn “firsthand” how legal mechanisms work in Kazakhstan in order to compare them with similar mechanisms in Russia,” said Oleg Ulyanov.
