UTMN holds a Russian workshop in Bulgaria

The project "Open classes: The crossroad of Russian and Bulgarian culture and its linguistic heritage" made it possible to organized Russian workshops in Varna and Shumen educational centers. The Head of the Department for UTMN Educational Activities Elena Tumakova was the manager of the project.

The project "Open classes: The crossroad of Russian and Bulgarian culture and its linguistic heritage" made it possible to organized Russian workshops in Varna and Shumen educational centers. The Head of the Department for UTMN Educational Activities Elena Tumakova was the manager of the project.

During the event, the director of the Center for Adaptation Practices and Testing Svetlana Dracheva, associate professor of the Department of General Linguistics Tatyana Ratsen and the head of the Center for Talented Students Support Alexei Martynov met with the representatives, teachers and students of Geo Milev and Alexander Pushkin schools. Also, several panels were organized for the students and teachers of the Shumen University.

In total, 300 people attended the classes organized by UTMN teachers. Professors noted high knowledge of Russian language and culture among Bulgarian students. The classes served as a way to recall the deep linguistic, historical and cultural ties that exist between the countries.

Additionally, during the event, prospects of further cooperation between UTMN and the Shumen University and the Economic University were also discussed.
