Tyumen scientists form the international scientific agenda in the Arctic
Elena Gladun, professor at the IGIP Department of State and Municipal Administration, has become a permanent member of the Arctic Centre Scientific Advisory Board. The Scientific Advisory Board is the strategic management body of the Arctic Center. Center goals include the development of the 2020–2025 Strategy, further research planning, development of research programs and research methodologies, collaborations and public relations organization.
The Board includes representatives from Finland, Canada, Sweden, Denmark, and Japan. For the second time in the history of the Arctic Center, a representative of Russia has joined the Scientific Advisory Board. This shows the Organization’s openness to collaboration that knows no borders to conduct powerful research in the Arctic.
Elena Gladun joined the Council due to her numerous achievements: active participation in international projects in the Arctic, gaining support for her research from the largest International Funds and writing publications on issues of the indigenous peoples of the North.
