Scholarship Description
This scholarship differs from the Government Academic Scholarship in the sense that it’s not awarded to all students, but only to the ones of a benefit category (orphans, low-income students, students with disabilities, etc.), and it doesn’t depend on the academic performance.

Selection criteria

Benefit categories that apply for eligibility:

  • students who are orphans and children placed out of parental care;
  • students who have lost both or their only parent during their studies;
  • students with disabilities of groups I and II, students with disabilities from childhood;
  • students who are disabled as a result of a military injury or illness incurred during a military service;
  • war veterans students;
  • students who have completed at least three years of military service under contract in the Russian Federation;
  • students exposed to radiation as a consequence of the Chernobyl disaster and other radiation accidents, or as a consequence of nuclear tests at the Semipalatinsk site;
  • students who have received social assistance from the government programs (low-income).

Package of documents
  • For students of the main university, the application is submitted in person at the Common Dean's Office (18 Semakova St., office 302).
    If you are studying at a branch campus in Tobolsk or Ishim, submit the application to the relevant department at your campus.
  • The application must be supported by the original documents proving that you belong to a benefit category.
