Philology

Students learn how to investigate the processes in the Russian language and communication, how to analyse literature and texts of all styles. Graduates of this program may lead projects related to Philology; may be engaged into literary creation, scientific projects and teaching.

The program aims to:

• deep language learning in its theoretical and practical, synchronical, diachronical, sociocultural and dialectological aspect;
• analysis of belle-letters literature and oral folk arts in their historical and theoretical aspects considering regularity of way of life in different countries and regions;
• analysis of texts of different types: written, oral, virtual (including hypertexts and text’s elements of multimedia objects), oral, written and virtual communication;
• analysis of text of different types based on current philological conceptions and methods of separate linguistic, literary and communicative phenomena and process.
