Ratings 14 December 2017
The Social Navigator project has published its national ranking of the most popular Russian universities.

In 2017, 448 universities from 81 regions were ranked by Social Navigator.

The ranking took into account such performance indicators as employer reputation, the commercialisation of the university's intellectual products and the research staff’s citation index.

To evaluate the performance of universities properly, all participants were divided into engineering (127), classical (89), humanitarian (69), agricultural (54), medical (48) and management (61) groups.

The University of Tyumen entered the top 15 classical universities, ranking at 11th position, which is 33 places higher than last year.  According to Social Navigator’s data, 87,9% of UTMN alumni receive job offers. The share of research funds in the university budget has grown to 15,97% (with a Russian average of 15,6%). The citation index is 14, which is a commendable result for a regional university.

According to the head of the project, Natalia Turina, both Russian employers and enrollees show interest to the Social Navigator’s analytics. “The ranking has proven to be trustworthy. Today, many prospective students use the ranking results when making decisions about their future education,” noted Natalia.
