The Institute of History and Political Sciences held its annual council meeting with the Russian Historical Society (RHS). Its participants include representatives from Tyumen universities, Yalutorovsk museum complex, Tobolsk Revival Fund, State Archive of Tyumen Oblast, and local historians.
Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the Russian National Team for its outstanding participation at the WorldSkills European Championship (Euroskills 2016), stating that this victory must be a reflection of Russia’s entire system of vocational training, especially in the regions.

The exhibition consists of 14 thematic stands describing the history and culture of the German population in the Ural region, including their settlements and houses, cuisine, religious feasts, and family traditions.
Aleksandr Emanov, organizer of the conference and head of the Department of Archaeology, Ancient World, and Medieval Studies, stated that this year the conference program included not only medieval Europe, but also the medieval East.
Alexander Shuklin, research coordinator at Tyumen State University’s G. Steller Centre of Russian-German cooperation, presented his research at a Russian-German cultural and historical workshop in the city of Fulda, Germany.
