About
The School of Natural Sciences was founded in 2022 as part of the "Priority 2030" program, which aims to modernize the Russian education system and increase its competitiveness on the international stage. The school offers a modern and efficient approach to learning, focusing on interdisciplinary research
The main scientific areas of the school include nature-inspired engineering, digital catalysis, the synthesis of new materials, petrochemistry, environmental monitoring, soil geography, environmental studies, cellular and molecular biology, and the modeling of physical processes.

Attention is paid to interdisciplinary research that combines the application of natural science and IT knowledge. The school actively conducts scientific and technological research for large companies, contributing to the development of innovation and the application of scientific advances in industry.
One of the key features of studying at SNS is the early engagement of students in working in labs, conducting field research, and collaborating with industrial partners. This enables students to gain valuable hands-on experience and integrate into the professional world from the very start of their academic journey.
Bachelor's Degree Programs
The SNS Bachelor's program offers a unique interdisciplinary educational experience, combining several natural sciences and allowing students to define their own educational path. This learning model maximizes the potential of each student and develops their ability to solve complex scientific and technological challenges due to a broad interdisciplinary perspective.
How does it work?
- In the first year, all students gain a basic knowledge of the natural sciences through courses in general biology, physics, chemistry, and Earth sciences. During the second semester, they delve deeper into specialized fields and take a few meta-disciplinary courses, such as bioinformatics and geophysics.
- Before starting the second year, each student selects one of the four natural science fields they are interested in: Earth sciences, life sciences, physics, or chemistry. At the end of their second year, they choose one of nine areas of study to pursue.
- The third and fourth years of study are dedicated to the in-depth study of specialized subjects within the chosen field. In addition to theoretical courses, students also actively engage in practical laboratory and computational projects.
- The fourth year offers a variety of elective courses to further enhance professional skills and prepare for admission to a master’s programs.
