I liked that the educational program included studying different art forms: not only painting, drawing and composition, but also pottery and sculpture.

Portfolios that we created for our theses helped a lot for applying for work.

The scope of knowledge presented in the core disciplines of the program was quite full. There was an opportunity to prove yourself both in the scientific field and in the creative one.

I am working in landscape construction so I use a large amount of knowledge gained during my studies. This includes knowledge of plant morphology and plant systematics, dendrology in general; the basics of landscape design; the basics of technical drawing and many more extra things that I studied additionally.

International teaching staff. Contemporary and profound approaches to topics. Too many Philosophy courses in School of Advanced Studies, in my opinion. In general, we received a full academic toolkit for the program.

The biggest part of the educational program courses that I studied combined theoretical and practical parts, often equally, but in some minor cases the theoretical part prevailed because some members of the teaching staff sticked to the old school mindset.

My education at UTMN gave me versatility of thinking, extensive knowledge in cyclic sports, the ability and awareness to train professional athletes, as well as nonprofessional athletes.

The educational program is notable for the quality of academic information, research and pedagogical practices in municipal educational institutions.

During my pre-graduation internship I got a job-placement as a computer science teacher at the UTMN Gymnasium, still being my workplace.

While enrolling in the Institute of Biology, particularly the Landscape Architecture program, many people contemplate how to start their career in this field, what to do and where to work. I will share my memories of my university years and of searching for my place in landscape architecture after graduation.

In 2009 I enrolled in the Biological Faculty of Tyumen State University (now the Institute of Biology of UTMN) in the Landscape Architecture program. I chose this path because I preferred natural sciences at school, especially biology and geography. My love for these subjects helped me get a scholarship.

I started working in landscaping during my studies being eager to get a feel for my future profession in a real workplace. It reached me during the internship and I was hooked. Now I am the head of a landscape company in partnership with a lecturer from our university. We are the guides between nature and people, creating stories, emotions and a culture of high-quality work in our field.

I am still using that strong fundamental knowledge given by the UTMN Institute of Biology, in its entirety. A variety of narrow profiles of this profession will give you a chance to find yourself, just be sure to use all the opportunities.

While studying at UTMN I really enjoyed the practical training trips to Sochi, St. Petersburg and the Tyumen region where I got an amazing opportunity to put my knowledge to use and consolidate it. As a student, I received solid knowledge on the variety of plants and the fundamentals of landscape design from my teachers, which later came in handy in my professional activities.

The institute atmosphere is very friendly; due to various social events it inspires to learn and develop creative potential.

Studying at the Institute of Physical Education of the University of Tyumen was fantastically enthralling thanks to the involved teachers who were attentive to opinions and points of view of every student.

Seminars were held in the form of entertaining discussions, where we jointly reached certain conclusions, and then with great pleasure we implemented them in practical exercises at our Institute’s home building, which comprises the swimming pool, the gymnastic area and the gyms.

What I enjoyed best were the core courses of my study program. I managed to develop useful skills, knowledge and abilities; got the opportunity to express my emotions and thoughts in landscaping projects, to express myself creatively. It’s worth mentioning that professionally strong teaching staff never leave students without help and support.
